PeopleSpace is seeking a person who has a high interest in designing and furnishing healthcare spaces to improve the quality of patient, caregiver and care provider experiences. Desire to work with like-minded individuals where the focus is to shift the healthcare industry from an institutional model to that of a hospitality model while maintaining it’s highly technical and clinical focus. This exempt role will work with the healthcare interiors team and will report directly to the Director of Healthcare Environments.

You have strong interpersonal and relationship management skills. Your most crucial responsibilities will include ensuring client objectives are met and managing the project team and team deliverables. You have a design background and/or experience with healthcare interiors.

The Healthcare Client Development | Account Manager will focus on these key areas on a day-to-day basis:

Design Competency

  • Skilled at creating solutions through client/industry partner engagements at every client level.
  • Collaborate with the account team to represent PeopleSpace's design process in meetings, client presentations and strategic selling scenarios

Client Communication 

  • Provide selling design ideas, and working through complex space solutions, while understanding the healthcare landscape of all other technical, functional and equipment requirements
  • Provide timely responses to client inquiries/requests

Primary Client Point-of-contact

  • Ensure project team has a comprehensive understanding of client objectives while managing all aspects of client projects: direct project team, oversee work orders, assign responsibility for service requests

Account Management

  • Attend project and account meetings as necessary
  • Work with client and client’s third-party firms, including A&D firms, interior contractors, electrical and communication engineers, customer’s IT group, etc.
  • Establish costs and sell amounts for all account products and services, based on contract pricing, gross margin guidelines and established service pricing
  • Responsible for “cost-of-sale” against account purchases
  • Ensure documentation standards are maintained for all account activities, ensure dealership process and procedures are followed
  • Responsible for marketing full range of dealership's products and services to client, including regular follow-up with new products and services 

Qualifications + Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 4 years in project management, interior design and/or healthcare industry experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Design experience, including AutoCAD and CET/Canvas proficiency, space planning, typical development, finish selection, working/installation drawings and specifications
  • One or more of the following affiliations is considered extremely beneficial: EDAC, CID, NCIDQ, IIDA, CID
  • Detailed, organized, flexible and service-oriented with the ability to multi-task, problem-solve and prioritize effectively.
  • Able to work efficiently, meet deadlines and quotas
  • Working knowledge of PC and Microsoft software, including Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation abilities, broad and in-depth contract furniture management knowledge, including industry and third party practices, current workplace and corporate business issues, etc.
  • Professional demeanor, strong personal and business ethics, focused customer’s service attitude.

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Ability to work from our Oakland office and travel within the northern Bay Area, as required
